How to sync lyrics for a Suno song

Turn audio and lyrics exported from Suno into timed LRC or SRT files. Follow a practical workflow for repeat choruses, timing checks and video subtitles.

Check platform export availability first

Suno’s available download formats depend on your plan and device. Its official guide lists MP3 downloads and paid-plan WAV options. Start with an audio file you are permitted to download and use; LyricTap does not log in to Suno or retrieve songs from a link.

For Udio users: Udio’s help page currently states that audio, video and stem downloads are disabled. Previously obtained local files are a separate case; do not assume a new Udio song can be exported into this workflow. Check the current service policy before planning a project.

Before you make a lyric video

Lyric video creation in the current iOS app requires a completed full AI Auto-Sync song and your own background image. AI provides line timing; word or group karaoke timings are created manually for ASS / Enhanced LRC export.

Step 1: Prepare audio and correct lyrics

Export a song audio file using the options provided by Suno. Copy the lyrics you want shown on screen and compare them with the recording. Repeated choruses, vocal ad-libs and skipped words can differ from your draft. Publishing and commercial use depend on your rights and the applicable platform terms.

Step 2: Set the timing

For manual sync, select the audio in LyricTap's free browser studio, paste one line per row, and tap each line's first sung word. For an editable AI-generated first pass, use LyricTap on iPhone or iPad. Both methods benefit from human review.

Step 3: Validate repeated lines

  1. Replay the song from the beginning to catch instrumental intros.
  2. Check every occurrence of a repeated chorus separately.
  3. Check transitions, fast vocal passages and the ending.
  4. Export LRC for lyric players or SRT for video editors.
  5. Test the file in its actual destination instead of assuming all players display formats identically.

What the browser cannot do

The free browser editor does not import tracks directly from Suno accounts, run AI speech recognition or render videos. LyricTap is not affiliated with or endorsed by Suno. Audio you have downloaded and are permitted to use can be selected just like other supported files.
