LyricTap Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

Music, lyrics, artwork, and exported files that you import are stored on your device by default. LyricTap uploads audio, lyrics, and language information only when you start an AI Auto-Sync task.

If you use Sign in with Apple, we process the Apple user identifier and credentials needed to verify sign-in. The current version does not request your name or email address. We also store an internal account identifier, active sessions, an app-generated device identifier, unused credits, and purchase records for sign-in, task ownership, credit linking, and restoration.

2. AI Auto-Sync and separated tracks

Only after you start AI Auto-Sync and consent do we upload the selected audio, lyrics, and language information. Replicate receives audio to separate vocals and instrumentals. Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Qwen) receives the separated vocals and language to recognize lyrics and singing times. LyricTap aligns your pasted lyrics on its server; that lyric text is not sent to these AI providers. If the Qwen upload route fails, the lightweight vocals may also be temporarily hosted by Replicate for Qwen to read.

Before first use, you can read this policy and choose Cancel or Agree and continue. Cancelling uploads nothing, creates no task, and uses no credits. Manual lyric editing, timing, and subtitle export remain available. The consent version is saved locally for your account; a new version or device may require consent again. Stop starting AI tasks to stop new uploads. For existing cloud data, use account deletion or contact support.

AI creates a line-by-line lyric timeline. Karaoke word or group timings come only from your manual taps and are used for ASS / Enhanced LRC subtitle export. The player and lyric videos display whole lines. Manual editing, subtitle export, and video creation run on your device and do not submit a new AI task.

LyricTap assigns uploaded audio, temporary stems, and transcription intermediates an expiry of 24 hours, and timeline results an expiry of up to 30 days. Scheduled cleanup deletes expired data. Save any lyrics or tracks you need promptly. These periods apply to LyricTap copies, not all records held by providers. Providers may retain processing or security records under their terms and legal obligations; see the Replicate Privacy Policy, Replicate data retention documentation, and Alibaba Cloud Model Studio privacy notice. 3. Local storage

Imported music, selected or extracted artwork, saved vocals and instrumentals, the playback queue, and lyric drafts are stored in app-controlled local storage until you delete them or uninstall the app. LyricTap does not fetch artwork from the internet or invent song metadata.

You can select a photo as a lyric video background. Saving a video to Photos requires the relevant system permission. Selected backgrounds and generated MP4 files are processed on your device, not uploaded as AI tasks. Files you share are handled by the recipient you choose. Copies saved to Photos, Files, or other apps must be deleted there separately. System backups follow your device settings.

4. Purchases and service providers

Apple processes in-app purchases, while Apple and RevenueCat help provide purchase status and restoration. We do not receive your complete payment-card details. These providers may retain transaction records under their own privacy policies.

To link tasks, check credits, prevent duplicate requests, and troubleshoot problems, the server stores task identifiers, file and lyric checksums, language, processing status, and technical error records. We use these records to provide and maintain the features.

5. Sharing, analytics, and advertising

We do not sell personal information. The current app does not contain third-party advertising, and your audio or lyrics are not distributed to other users. Data required to provide a requested feature may be sent to contracted cloud-processing providers.

6. Account deletion

You can request deletion from the Account screen. This removes your LyricTap server account, active sessions, unused credits, cloud tasks, retained results, and remaining audio files. Wait for any active AI task to finish before trying again. Records that third parties retain under their policies or legal obligations may not be erased immediately with your account; contact support for help. Delete local music separately. Uninstalling removes music and drafts in the app sandbox, but does not delete your cloud account. The system manages sign-in information it stores.
